Pantone, the world's leader in color, has come out with a theme for NY Fashion Week's color palette in the fall/winter of 2025 that will invite curiosity and nostalgic feelings, according to the Fashion Color New York City and Company. The article mentions that the abstract AW25 colors are "intertwined with a poetic nuance, which gives a mingling of casual leisure with a whiff of sophistication in the clothes of the season," the storyteller, who is Pantone, explains, adding that "a full moving color conversation between old, true neutrals and the deep and intense colors of the current season.".
Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, has commented in a news release that "The choices for the fashion week are real, though, in methods that present a feeling of ease with youth at once." This way, the NYFW colors of the autumn and winter season 2025/26 are comfortable and within the reach of everyone.
"Fashion is on the lookout for new paths to go as well. The silhouette, the new material, and the textures will come out of the old designs for sure, and last but not least, the one familiar color will be reinvented, the contemporary transformation. Creativity does not necessarily lie in a pursuit of the novel only but also in the art of remodeling, so there is a lot of space to act and explore, to create clothes that are unique and renewed."
The ten colors of this season will provide a combination of well-known and novel colors that Pantone will use "to express hope for the future." Among them are mostly lemon, tea, and orange, then the earthy brown, gentle pink, and two red shades that pop, plus a vibrant purple.
